Meet Doug
Doug has been married to his high school sweetheart Jennifer since 1995, and they live in Brighton, Michigan with their two daughters Audrey (22) and Josie (20).
Doug was an overseer at The Well Church in Brighton for 6 years, served on the board of Love INC in Howell for 3 years and currently serves on the board of, and is the Treasurer of, the Brighton Rotary Club.
He is the co-founder of the Beth Moffat Memorial Scholarship Fund awarded at Hartland High School, and enjoys coordinating an annual fundraiser, a golf outing, every spring. May 6th, 2023 will be their 22nd year!
Doug graduated from Lake Forest College with a double major in Business & Sociology, and honed his professional skills as a Financial Advisor for 20 years at Northwestern Mutual from 1997 to 2017.
Doug started The Moffat Group, Inc. in 2018 which provides Leadership Coaching, Meeting Facilitation, Speaking and Insurance Coaching.
In addition to becoming an independent business owner, Doug is the Varsity Girls & Boys Tennis coach at Hartland High school. He plays tennis, hockey and golf, and enjoys working out, reading, live music, good food and craft beer.
